Notice to Owners Regarding Upcoming Retaining Wall Work

Dear Homeowners

Many of you are in receipt of our letter dated March 9, 2020 regarding the District undertaking work to stabilize the canal retaining wall within certain lots within the community. If you have not received this letter this would indicate that your home lot was not affected and this email is not applicable to your lot.

If you have utility pass-throughs that extend to your dock but have never had them authorized by the District, you must complete and return the Utilities Connection Application that was included in the letter in order to have them or similar (compliant) utility pass-throughs authorized by the District.

Please take note that an attachment to the Utilities Connection Application entitled “License Agreement” requires notarization of all owners’ signatures. Your signatures to this document should only be applied in the physical presence of a notary.

You are welcome to independently notarize the License Agreement and send it in, with your Utilities Connection Application, to the address on the cover letter (please ignore all other addresses on the Utilities Connection Application and the License Agreement). However, the District Management office will also bring a notary to the Harbor Bay CDD board meeting on April 16th and will offer notary service at no charge to residents. Services will be offered before the meeting commences at 6 pm.

Should you want notary services please send an email to [email protected] to confirm your request as we will need to plan for sufficient time before the meeting to render services. Also, please bring both appropriate identification and the entire application package you received by mail with you to ensure the notary has everything he or she needs to properly notarize your documents.

In the meantime, you may contact the District Manager’s office with any questions at 321-263-0132, ext. 4205. Again, to sign up for these services you must email [email protected] ahead of time to reserve a time slot.

Finally, as noted in the cover letter, should you have any questions or concerns regarding physical construction of the seawall, please contact Greg Woodcock , District Engineer at [email protected]
